When you do something today that you often do mindlessly, take the time to bring your awareness to the task. If it's something like locking your door or starting your car, bring your awareness to the sounds around you. What does it feel like to have the keys in your hand? Is there a smell in the air that you notice? Tap into each of your senses and simply notice what it's like to be there in that moment.
