If Only

How many of us strive for perfection and end up disappointed or frustrated when our actions fall short of our heightened expectations?  Today, I invite you to explore what it looks like to let go of expectations. When you notice a thought that says, "If only I were...," acknowledge the thought and gently let it go.  If you become aware of a thought that says, "You should have done..." be kind to yourself and watch the thought float off into the distance.  Simply explore what it's like to be the awareness that notices these thoughts that have you striving for perfection, and when you recognize one, lovingly send it off.
