Take Your Time

Most of us are used to rushing through our meals, barely taking the time to taste much less breathe.  Today, see if you can be present with the food you consume.  Take your time.  Bring your awareness to your nose and see what kinds of scents come from your food. What are the colors? The textures? Chew as slowly as you can. Notice how your food tastes.  Think about where your food comes from and how it came to be on your plate and in your mouth. Offer thanks for the nourishment and bring gratitude to each meal throughout your day.
