Wanting

What happens in your body when you wish for something? What does it feel like to want? Notice the different sensations that arise in your physical body when you focus on thoughts around wanting or wishing. Bring your attention to the emotions that surface as you wish.  Now shift your awareness to the experience instead of the desire.  What is it like to experience those emotions and sensations?  Today, see if you can bring your attention to the experience of wanting.  When you notice yourself wanting or wishing for something to be different, see if you can bring your awareness to the here and now.  The actual reality that surrounds you.  Explore what it is like to be here instead.
