Breathing

With your eyes gently closed or gazing down in front of you, bring your attention to your breath.  Notice how it feels as the air enters your lungs.  At the end of your exhale, think the number one. Continue to notice what it feels like as the breath enters your body and at the end of the next exhale, think the number two. You can do this up until the number ten. Once you reach ten, gently bring yourself back to one and start the process again. Thoughts will come up.  They always do. See if you can notice a thought when it shows up.  Recognize it as a thought. Allow it to float away or dissolve into the air.  And gently bring your awareness back to the sensation of the breath in the body.
