Pain

Today, explore what it's like to be with what you identify as pain. When you are aware of your pain, notice what it's like.  Is it physical? Where does it show up in your body?  Is it throbbing or sharp?  Maybe the pain is emotional or brought on by a thought.  What emotions are you aware of?   Show yourself the same kind of compassion that you would with a small child.  Allow yourself to be open to the feelings and when you are ready, explore what it's like to let each feeling go.  Maybe not forever, but just for this moment.  For now, explore what it's like to let go of your pain and all of the sensations that arise with it.
