Feel the Ground

When someone says or does something that causes us pain, it can be easy to let our emotions take over.  By bringing your awareness to the ground beneath you, you are connecting once again with the present.  While your emotions are whirling around, use the earth beneath you to serve as an anchor.  It keeps you steady and grounded so that you can respond rather than react to the situation.
