Gratitude

Find a comfortable position.  You can either close your eyes or simply gaze down in front of you.  Take a moment to visualize someone you are grateful for.  It could be a friend, relative or pet. Once you've decided, picture the person or pet sitting in front of you. Bring your awareness to your body and what gratitude for this being feels like.  Is it warm?  Where in your body do you feel it the most? Let the feeling grow and fill your body.  When you're ready, let them know that you are grateful for them, in your own way, in your own time.   Once you have offered your gift of gratitude, take a moment to be with whatever arises. When you are ready, visualize this person or pet being feeling grateful for you and watch as that feeling grows and fills their body.  Take a few deep breaths.  Breathe in their gift of gratitude.  Let it fill your body and heart.  May today be another opportunity to offer gratitude to yourself and those around you.
