The Heart
When our heart hurts, we often turn elsewhere. We look for distractions to avoid the pain and the ache that is present. While turning away can be a helpful and important coping strategy, looking at your pain with love, compassion, and kindness can have a powerful effect. If your heart hurts today, instead of looking elsewhere, see if you can bring your loving attention to the source of your pain and experience it fully. As painful as this is, know that great healing can occur when we are willing to accept where we are and to allow where we are to be whatever it is without judging it. No need to judge the experience. By bringing loving awareness to the source of our pain, we can breathe into the hurt and acknowledge our truth.
