Connecting to the Breath
Connecting to the breath is always a helpful tool to bring you into the present moment. If we're breathing we know we are here, right now. We can't be breathing in the past or breathing in the future. Today, carve out five minutes to bring your awareness to the breath. Notice what it's like to breathe in and out through your nose. What does the breath feel like as it passes through your nostrils? Hold your hand or fingers up to your nose and notice what it's like to feel the breath. Is it warm or cool? As thoughts arise, recognize them, let them go, and bring your attention back to the breath.
