Awareness Practice

A lot of people think that awareness practice means that they have to sit quietly for an hour a day in order to reap the benefits.  That is not true.  You can practice being aware as you walk, while you shower, in the car, and basically at any time and anywhere.  Simply bring your attention to your breath, your body, or the world around you.  If you notice yourself having a thought, invite yourself to come back to one of these three anchors.  That's it! With each redirection, you are training your mind to build awareness of the present and not be a prisoner to your thoughts.
